Loose, unused bookplate, single sheet (14.5 x 9.3cm), steel engraved by Osmond. Armourial emblem bearing the motto "Industria Ditat" (Work Enriches) and Waugh's name in copperplate script.
The third of Waugh's bookplates was engraved for him in June 1943. It was assiduously inserted into all the unmarked books in his library after Handasyde Buchanan, who had valued his library in 1962 said that "the whole library is worth perhaps 10% more on account of your bookplate".
