First edition with illustrations by Florence Harrison. 4to. Blue cloth with gilt lettering and pre-raphaelite style decoration. Top edge gilt. Pictorial endpapers, sixteen colour plates and many black and white plates and drawings by Harrison. A fine copy with a small mark to the upper cover and a small contemporary gift inscription.
Poems include: The Defence of Guinevere, Rapunzel and Sir Galahad, a Christmas Mystery. The illustrations are a perfect complement to Morris' poems, with rich Pre Raphaelite colours in a distinctive Glasgow style.
