First edition. Original publisher's brown cloth with gilt titles to the spine and blind ruled borders to the covers. Four tinted lithograph plates after Joseph Wolf. A fine copy, bright and clean without any mentionable wear and just slight fading to the cloth on the spine. Internally very clean, with hinges neatly, almost invisibly, strengthened.

Scarce, one of only 500 copies of the first edition. Burton's account of the falconry he undertook whilst in the Sindh province of northern India.
