First edition thus. 4to. Green cloth with gilt lettering and vignettes to upper cover and spine. Endpapers have a purple line drawing of a fairy queen and her elfin helpers. Pictorial endpapers. There are twelve colour plates with printed captions below, each mounted onto brown art paper, two plates with corner creases. There are also many black and white drawings, some full page. A very good copy indeed, some offsetting to the endpapers and a few pages badly opened, though generally a bright copy.
A charming version of Grimm's fairy tales accompanied by Rackham's illustrations. Fairy tales include: Snow-white and Rose Red; Thumbling's Travels etc.
