First edition. 8vo. Green cloth lettered in gilt on the spine and in blind on the upper cover, in pictorial dustwrapper. T.E. Kelsall's name written in pencil on the half title, and gift inscription dated 1941 on the front blank. Pictorial map endpapers and illustrations in line throughout by Ransome. A very good copy in a very good dustwrapper, light wear to the spine ends and corners, spine and rear panel a little dusty.
The tenth in the Swallows and Amazons series. The Kelsall's were friends and neighbours of the Ransomes in the Lake District
