Portrait frontis and nine full page etchings by George Reid, plus numerous etchings in the text. A very good copy, occasional foxing.
Thomas Edward (1814-1886) was a Scottish naturalist, who lived most of his life in Banff, Aberdeenshire, where he devoted himself to the study of animal nature.
