A collection of stories in which a wide variety of men and women tell of the life they remember from when they were young. The contributers include a factory worker, a teacher, a doctor, a gamekeeper, a suffragette and many others. A charming compilation of anecdotal tales of life at the beginning of the 20th Century, all of them linked by Noel Streatfeild with memories of her own childhood.
