First edition. Primary binding of light brown cloth with gilt ruled design to the front cover and titles blocked in brown to the spine. Inscribed by the author on the front blank, "yours faithfully, Thomas Hardy". A very good copy, which shows some soiling to the cloth, particularly the spine. Hinges neatly repaired, internally fresh.
