A Play from Kenneth Grahame's Book "The Wind in the Willows"
There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about by a river.
Toad of Toad Hall A Play from Kenneth Grahame's Book "The Wind in the Willows"
Methuen, 1929.
First edition. 8vo. Blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and vignette on the upper cover, in the original printed dustwrapper. Top edge gilt. A very good copy, cloth bright, spotting to page edges, in a very good dustwrapper, which has a tear and small chip to the upper panel. Loosely inserted is a publisher's advertising slip.
This play, based on the Wind in the Willows, is described by Milne as having "enough of Kenneth Grahame in it to appease his many admirers, and enough of me in it to justify my name on the title page".
