Blue cloth with gilt lettering and elaborate heraldic decoration on the spine and upper cover. 21 tipped in colour plates, with captioned tissue-guards, by Eleanor Fortescue Brickdale. A very good copy, some browning to preliminary pages.
Includes Arthurian inspired verse, Tennyson's Guinevere, as well as Elaine, Enid and Vivien. Tennyson's poetry was a major influence on the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and is accompanied here by Brickdale's Pre-Raphaelite style illustrations.
