First (sole) edition. 8vo. White cloth with gilt lettering and vignette, and blue ruled decoration. Eight colour plates and 18 black and white plates by Wyllie and Spurling, plus line drawings in the text. A very near fine copy, spotting throughout, but the white cloth remains exceptionally clean and bright, and the gilt gleaming.

One of 2000 copies, originally published at 10/6-. A history of The General Steam Navigation Company Ltd., at whose behest this was published.
