Raised bands and gilt titles to the spine, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers and gilt embossed dentelles. Sixty colour plates and 21 maps in the text. A fine copy in the original publisher's clamshell, fleece-lined cloth case.
The grandfather of wine writers, Simon wrote over a hundred books and pamphlets on wine.
