Specialist Catalogue: Polar Exploration

From early ventures to the polar regions to the heroics of Scott and Shackleton, our new catalogue has a host of rarities from the history of polar regions.

The collection is particularly strong on the Heroic Age, including two pieces of Antarctic incunabula from Shackleton’s printing press, an original employment contract from the Nimrod expedition and a rare and poignant address made by Scott in advance of his final expedition that defends the integrity and importance of Polar exploration.

The books featured will be on exhibition at the New York Book Fair from the 7th to 10th March, and the exhibition will continue at our shop in Henley-on-Thames thereafter.

You can download a copy of the catalogue at this link.
