New Catalogue: English Poetry 1532 - 1995

Our new catalogue is dedicated to poetry in English. Beginning with the first complete collected edition of Chaucer, it takes in the best of poetry from Shakespeare, through the Romantics and Modernists, to the Postwar period. It includes stunningly well-preserved examples in original condition, beautifully illustrated editions of classic poetry as well as a host of significant signed and inscribed books.

The catalogue is designed exclusively to be read on screen in your web browser. This means it has features that improve the experience of browsing and buying rare books that a print catalogue or standard PDF do not offer.

For each book you can view multiple images without leaving the catalogue, offering a comprehensive and tactile appreciation of each book's detail.

Below each catalogue description will be two buttons. You can click 'Order Now', to head directly to its page on our website and securely purchase the book. If you have a query about the item, you can click 'Enquire About This Book', and an email will be generated for you to ask us your question. The subject field and email address will already be populated, so you can just type your question and return to browsing the catalogue.

In a number of cases, you can even listen to poets reading from their collections as while you browse them by using the play and pause buttons where they appear; what could be more agreeable than reading about a first edition of Sylvia Plath's Colossus inscribed by her, while she reads you a poem from that very book?

We hope you enjoy the catalogue, and if you have any questions or feedback, do let us know.
